Terms and Conditions of Sale

These terms and conditions of sale govern the purchase by you of contact lenses from the Getlenses.com website

1. The purchase by you of contact lenses on the getlenses.com website constitutes a contract between you and Getlenses.com.

2. The submission by you of a contact lens application form constitutes an offer by you to purchase contact lenses for the value specified in the application form at the price set out therein and authorises getlenses.com to debit your debit or credit card with that amount plus any delivery charges.

3. We will notify you by e-mail of the receipt and acceptance or non-acceptance of your order.

4. Contact lenses will be delivered to you at the address you have specified by post Payment for contact lenses is by way of debit card, credit card or cheque. In the event that your card details have been fraudulently used we will cover your liability up to a maximum of EUR100 provided that The unauthorised use of your credit card resulted through no fault of your own from purchases made at Get Lenses whilst using our secure server and You have notified your bank/ credit card issuer of the unauthorised use and followed their procedure for recovery from this use.

5. We undertake to supply you with the exact type and brand of contact lens prescribed by your optician in the contact lens prescription sent by you to Getlenses.com. Contact lenses will be will be packaged in the original manufacturer's sealed package.

6. If for any reason you wish to return the lenses we will give you a full refund on any lenses returned unopened and in the original packaging. We undertake to replace any defective contact lenses free of charge - simply return the contact lenses to us.

7. Contact lens wear can affect the health of your eyes. In the supply of all contact lenses, all eye care practitioners have to meet certain legal obligations in the interest of their patient's ocular health. If you wish to have your contact lenses supplied by Getlenses.com to a specification issued elsewhere you should understand that:

• Get Lenses rely on the details supplied by you and the contact lens specification provided by your optician to supply you with contact lenses
  
• Your contact lens prescription must have been issued within 12 months prior to placing your order with Get Lenses.
  
• You have not been advised to stop wearing contact lenses by an eye care or medical practitioner and have not, within the last 12 months suffered from any eye condition requiring treatment.
  

8. Getlenses.com can accept no responsibility for a customer's lack of suitability to wear contact lenses as detailed in the prescription, or for their overall suitability to wear contact lenses.

9. If Get Lenses is not satisfied with your ocular health or considers that the replacement contact lenses requested according to the specification provided to us are not clinically suitable, we retain the right not to supply.

10. These terms and conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland and the courts of the Republic of Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear and determine any dispute that may arise in connection therewith.
