1. How do I know it's safe to order on-line? |
Our on-line form is securely encrypted using SSL during transmission and information sent in this way cannot be intercepted. Getlenses.com is owned and managed by qualified, registered optometrists and all orders are supplied in accordance with Opticians Act Ireland (1956) and the UK Opticians Act (1989). |
| |

2. How soon will I receive my lenses? |
Over 90% of orders are despatched within 48 hours of receiving confirmation of your contact lens prescription. Orders for special lenses are usually despatched within 3 days. |
| |

3. Are they the same lenses I get from my optician? |
Yes, by law we can only supply the same lenses as prescribed and fitted by your optician. If you have been fitted with a private label lens, or a lens you can't find on our website, don't worry. Private label lenses are repackaged versions of the brand name lenses we sell. Please do not try and guess which lenses you wear. E-mail us or call us for more information. |
| |

4. How will I know my order has been received? |
You will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of your order. If you have placed an order but not received an e-mail or have any questions, please e-mail us or call for more information.
| |

5. Why do you need to contact my optician? |
We will only contact your optician if you are unable to provide a copy of your current prescription. If you are not able to provide a signed, dated copy of your prescription, we are obliged, by law to contact your optician prior to processing your order for contact lenses. |
| |

6. Why are your prices so low? |
As a primarily internet based retailer, we have extremely low overheads. Bulk purchasing also means lower prices, which we pass on to the customer.
| |

7. What is a contact lens prescription? |
A contact lens prescription is similar to a spectacle prescription. It does, however, contain specific contact lens related information. The prescription will state the brand of lenses for which you have been fitted and the size and strength of the lenses. The prescription will be dated and signed by your optician. A prescription is not valid if it has not be signed and dated.
| |

8. I've had a sight test. Can't I just send you that and my lens packets? |
The packets will confirm the brand of lenses that you wear. However, we will still need to see a valid copy of your prescription.

9. What if I use own brand lenses, Vision Express, Specsavers, etc.? |
